Just glancing and notice a Murphy and Hatcher any relations to former NHLers? And for that matter who is up this draft year for kids who's fathers played?

Chase Hatcher is Derian's kid. Has spent most of the year with London Nationals as he was a Knights prospect before he got traded to Peterborough the other day. I've seen him once thus far- he was called up when all the Knights went off to the WJC's. He's a bigger forward, but they used him as defense when I saw him, though I have been told he played forward a couple games before the switch to D.

Not sure, but there's a lot. Matteau. Iafrate, Koules, Hatcher, etc.

Man could you imagine his dad in today's NHL with the new sticks?

I guess Forsberg's love child is in the draft too

Next thing is biggest and smallest guys

Huddle. I am trying to find the name of a college prospect that is a defenseman and is unsigned and will be turning pro after this season. Same as Da Costa, Bozak, and Butler years past. The kid was one of the most influential people in hockey in the hockey news this year (somewhere in the 85-100 range I believe). I can't remember the name for the life of me or find the list on the web. Any ideas?

His son's got a big time shot too. Not his dad's boomer, but he's got some beef. Have gotten to see him a lot in Kitchener as well.

Most of the list was garbage to be honest. Carrie Underwood was on it for goodness sakes. I think this kid came just before or after her.

When are you going to do a mid-season mock-draft so everybody can argue with you?

Lightning should take Griffin Rienhart in the first and Andrei Vasilevski in the second

I wonder how much the Oiler want Rienhart. They run the Oil Kings and have been known to draft players from there or get guys moved to the Oil Kings whom they have already drafted.

Hey Brian! Tanner Pearson is at 22. Seems like the Leafs could have a shot at this kid. From what i know he seems like a great two way player who is a great forechecker. What are your thoughts on him?

Brian,

Do you think that a few of the Russian prospects could fall a little lower than they should because NHL teams in recent years appear to have been a little apprehensive in drafting Russian born players too early who might choose to play in the KHL instead?

If this is the case, who are a few Russian born prospects that could be later steals?

Thanks.

Brian,

what's the deal with Griffin Reinhart? I know the sens could use a big shuddown kind of guy, and he seems projected to be picked around where i expect the sens to be picking. any thoughts on him?

So is Yakupov-Grigorenko-Murray the consensus top 3 at this point?

The kid is Danny Dekeyser at 95. He is being scouted hard by the Red Wings, but Bob McKenzie says he could very well receive 30 contract offers. (there is a video on youtube) He is supposedly a very solid two-way defender and plays at Western Michigan University. The hockey news says "he is seen as a bonus first-rounder who can step right in the line up".

Hudon at 96th, really?

Fournier should be placed way before that too.

Do these guys even scout the 'Q?

Okay, I told you guys over and over again about Eakin and nobody freaking listened to me, so I'm gonna try again.

Coda Gordon is for real. He has some decent size, but he's not an overly physical guy. He is, however, willing to go to the dirty areas of the ice to pick up points. Doesn't do anything great, but is above average in most aspects of his game. He's at 32 in the rankings right now I believe, but again, playing in the smallest market in the CHL has hurt his rankings, just as it did Cody Eakin's.
